STEAM

Our mission is for students to be engaged with global issues that impact the world through a service-learning approach.STEM occupations continue to lack minority representation. The new STEAM magnet will promote collaboration through an interdisciplinary curriculum and prepare the next generation of Latino/a and African American students in the South East Los Angeles region, who are confident in pursuing STEM careers. 

 

Our magnet mission is to prepare students to tackle future challenges and to develop as global citizens who are empathetic, critical and creative thinkers, and problem-solvers proficient in science, technology, engineering, the arts, math, and research via interdisciplinary project-based learning and a service learning approach.
