At South East High School, we are proud to have an amazing team of coordinators who provide invaluable support to our students, teachers, and families. Each coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that our school operates efficiently and that every student receives the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

  • Mrs. Madrigal – Bridge Coordinator
    As our Bridge Coordinator, Mrs. Madrigal leads our Special Education Department, ensuring that students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) receive the appropriate accommodations and support to thrive academically. She works closely with teachers, specialists, and families to develop and implement effective intervention strategies, ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality education tailored to their needs.

  • Mrs. Rodriguez – Title I and WASC Coordinator
    Mrs. Rodriguez oversees our Title I program, ensuring that federal funding is utilized effectively to support student learning through intervention programs, resources, and professional development for teachers. Additionally, she leads our Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation process, coordinating school-wide efforts to meet and maintain high academic standards while continuously improving instructional practices.

  • Ms. Vasquez – Magnet, SAS, and GATE Coordinator
    As our Magnet, School for Advanced Studies (SAS), and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Coordinator, Ms. Vasquez manages all aspects of our STEAM Magnet Program, ensuring that students engage in rigorous, hands-on learning experiences that foster innovation and critical thinking. She also oversees SAS and GATE initiatives, providing advanced coursework, enrichment opportunities, and specialized support for high-achieving students. Additionally, she supports recruitment, enrollment, and outreach efforts to expand educational opportunities for all students.

  • Mr. Jimenez – Technology Coordinator
    Mr. Jimenez plays a role in supporting technology integration across the campus. He manages assist in our Technology Office, ensuring that all devices, software, and digital platforms run smoothly for both students and staff. He also supports the Math Department, helping teachers incorporate pedagogy for the benefit of all students and teachers.

  • Mrs. Thakkar – Instructional Coach and EGI Champion
    As our Instructional Coach and Equitable Grading and Instruction (EGI) Champion, Mrs. Thakkar provides ongoing support to all teachers, ensuring that instructional strategies align with best practices in student-centered learning. She plays a critical role in mentoring new teachers, offering guidance and professional development to strengthen instructional effectiveness and improve student achievement. Through EGI, she helps teachers implement growth-mindset grading and equitable assessment practices that support all learners.

  • Mrs. Cerda – Targeted Student Population (TSP) Coordinator
    Mrs. Cerda works closely with our English Learner (EL) students, ensuring that they receive the academic and linguistic support needed to develop English proficiency and succeed in all content areas. She collaborates with teachers to implement effective English Language Development (ELD) strategies, monitors student progress, and ensures that EL students receive the necessary interventions to meet their learning goals.
