The School of Health Science and Environment helps students understand the real-world connections between personal health, public health, and our natural and man-made environments, as well as their responsibility to get involved as leaders in the health and environmental issues of their community. We provide a rigorous curriculum that emphasizes problem-solving, effective communication skills, and life-long learning as requirements for success in higher education and 21stcentury careers in medicine, health, and the environmental sector. HSE truly prepares its students for success at the university level.

HSE students explore how the science of health and the environment shape our world, and how they as students can get involved as leaders in their community. Our students are passionate about improving the health of our world, whether through medicine and nutrition, engineering and design, politics and community organizing, or another field. While most of these subjects have a foundation in the sciences, students view these issues through the lenses of all the core subjects: the social and economic impact, political considerations, mathematical underpinnings, portrayals in literature and non-fiction, etc.
